DESCRIPTION The colonized blocks are 5 kg and come in 30 x 40 cm bags. They are provided ready to be placed under fruiting conditions and to obtain mushrooms. Orders should be sent with a 2-week advance notice. Payment should be made by bank transfer after which proof of payment should be provided. Blocks are packaged and sent by bus. Freight cost is at the purchaser's expense.
APPLICATIONS Purchasing colonized substrate blocks allows enterpreneurs to have mushrooms directly, thus allowing them to enjoy the experience of harvesting their own mushrooms and consuming them fresher than those purchased at points of sale. It also allows entrepreneurs to start this activity with less infrastructure investment as they are not expected to take care of substrate formulation, thermal decontamination treatment, inoculation and the subsequent mycelial running stage.
