The mushroom spawn is the inoculum to start a fungal culture.
DESCRIPTION
Mushroom spawn production requires laboratory knowledge and strict management of the aseptic conditions under which it is necessary to work. The inoculum, consisting of sterilized wheat grain colonized by mycelium of a selected fungus strain, is marketed in 25 x 35 cm labeled and filtered polyethylene bags. Parcel shipping orders are directly shipped to the indicated address by the mode of transport choosen by the client. Shipping costs are at client expense. Payment should be made by bank transfer and proof of payment must be subsequently provided.
APPLICATIONS
Mushroom spawn of reliable origin and rigorous control is essential in the cultivation of fungi, either on artificial substrates or on logs, to avoid subsequent problems of low productivity and/or contamination spread. It can also be used for the production of biomaterials, biodegradation of lignocellulosic biomass and in soil and water bioremediation.
ADVANTAGES
Inoculum for quality and good productivity.
It can be used for cultivation in bags as well as in logs.
It can be stored in a refrigerator for up to 40 days.
It is easy to spread in the substrate.

Blocks ready to obtain fresh mushrooms.
-
DESCRIPTION
The colonized blocks are 5 kg and come in 30 x 40 cm bags. They are provided ready to be placed under fruiting conditions and to obtain mushrooms. Orders should be sent with a 2-week advance notice. Payment should be made by bank transfer after which proof of payment should be provided. Blocks are packaged and sent by bus. Freight cost is at the purchasers´ expense.

APPLICATIONS
Purchasing colonized substrate blocks allows enterpreneurs to have mushrooms directly, thus allowing them to enjoy the experience of harvesting their own mushrooms and consuming them fresher than those purchased at points of sale. It also allows entrepreneurs to start this activity with less infrastructure investment as they are not expected to take care of substrate formulation, thermal decontamination treatment, inoculation and the subsequent mycelial running stage. In this way, they can gain confidence as they can verify that mushrooms bear fruit in the right environment and, in parallel, the process while this occurs, gives them time to adjust different variables and to optimize the construction and purchase of both machinery and infrastructure necessary to further carry out these phases on their own.
ADVANTAGES
Fast mushroom cropping (7-10 days).
-
Up to 1.5 kg of mushrooms can be collected from three crops.
Cost and time savings in the the substrate preparation, its inoculation and incubation.
