LABORATORY OF BIOTIC INTERACTIONS IN AGROECOSYSTEMS (LIBA)
At LIBA, we investigate the relationships among plants, pollinators, herbivores, and their predators. Our focus lies in enhancing ecosystem services such as pollination and biological pest control across agricultural systems under various management practices.
We assess and optimize crop pollination, estimating the efficiency of bees and other insects. Additionally, we delve into herbivory and biological pest control in natural, urban, and agricultural systems. Furthermore, we explore biological interactions in urban environments, conducting studies to guide green area management in cities.
Our aim is to foster resilient and healthy environments, enhancing biodiversity and ecological stability through research and effective management strategies.
